We have built our reputation with winemakers, chateaux and negotiants in Bordeaux personally. Because we consistently nurture the relationships we have, we can offer greater opportunities to our trade clients. This is an important asset to our business, on the strength of these relationships and our company values. We have built enviable access to almost any wine from Bordeaux, however our expertise are not limited to this region, we carry an extensive range of wines from all over the world.
We trade with other wine retailers and independent wine merchants, exclusive restaurants, hotels and elite sources. The trade team, provide and source to order, to meet client requirements and provide a broad and interesting inventory for all.
As Bordeaux specialists, the trade team and wine advisors go to Bordeaux visiting the chateaux in person, to taste the wines on the release of each vintage, from the left bank to right bank and meet the people behind the wines. We feel this knowledge and experience benefits not only our team but our clients, ensuring the advice and service retains high standards.

Kevin leads the trade team and is the longest serving employee with BWI, who with over 25 years experience in the wine industry, has a wealth of knowledge in Bordeaux. He has visited Bordeaux for the En Primeur tastings since 2000, giving a decade of firsthand experience and knowledge of these wines and the producers. However, his expertise are not limited to Bordeaux.

Matt joined BWI in 2008 and has been working closely with Kevin in the trade department; developing and expanding the services we provide, with a focus on Asian trade sales. He has been rapidly increasing his knowledge and skills, completing the WSET level 2 certificate and En Primeur tastings in Bordeaux.
