All the BWI wine specialists go to Bordeaux to taste the wines at the release of each vintage, from the left to the right bank. Each of our wine specialists writes comprehensive notes on the wines tasted. This takes our team four days to tour the chateaux tasting each of the wines produced with the people responsible for making them. From this we create a comprehensive review and tasting report for our clients. It is essential for all of our team to taste these wines and to each have first hand knowledge, this is the essence of what we do; we are specialists in this region.

• As specialists in this area it is vital for us to establish long relationships with our Bordeaux Suppliers. We have been doing so successfully for over 12 years.
• We only buy En Primeur from the most secure and trusted sources in Bordeaux.
• All our prices are quoted 'in bond' (exclusive of UK duty & VAT).
• En Primeurs purchased from BWI are documented separately from our own stockholdings with a clear audit trail and certification to identify ownership. 
• We are a wholesale wine merchant; therefore our minimum order is nine litres. (This equals a case of bottles, half-bottles, magnums, or other size bottles which total nine litres.) En Primeur wines are sold as a case of standard bottles, bottling requests come later during the year.
• There are no additional charges for your wine to be bottled in the standard format.  Larger formats can be made available dependant on the wine purchased at the point of bottling, not all chateaux offer this.
• Bottling information is required dependant on when the wine is released by the chateau. As a guide; Bordeaux whites are bottled shortly after release around May/June. Bordeaux reds are bottled much later, bottling requests are made during September. Bottle formats will incur a small charge dependant on the format required.
