Buying En Primeur isn’t as complicated as some would lead you to believe. In essence you are purchasing wines from the chateau before they are bottled.
At BWI all our wine specialists go to Bordeaux to taste the wines on the release of each vintage, from the left to the right bank. Each of our wine specialists writes comprehensive notes on the wines tasted. This takes our team four days to tour the chateaux, tasting each of the wines produced with the people responsible for making them. From this we create a comprehensive review and tasting report for our clients.
It is essential for all of our team to taste these wines and to each have firsthand knowledge, this is the essence of what we do; we are specialists in this region. Heres how....
